By definition, this has them well known for causing issues for us, humans. Aside from their behaviour, if you have racoons on your property, you'll only be too aware of a nasty smell they can leave.
Why do racoons smell?
Raccoons have their own natural smell that becomes more distinct over time. If they manage to make home within an attic or house, they are likely to die over time which will only contribute to the odour.
What can make them smell worse?
As raccoons spend time outside, they will often get wet. This can only worsen their odour. If a wet Mobile raccoon enters your home, you will soon know about it. If they drop faeces in your home, this can also add to the pong.
