Union City Wildlife Tip: About Mole: Moles often give birth by the end of the month of April till early in the month of May. Unlike rats and mice, Moles do not produce very large liters, however liter sizes may vary from 2 and 7 and lactation period often follow the gestation period and the young moles remain with their mothers for further 4 to 5 weeks. By the end of June, moles will normally leave to create their own tunnels. Life cycle: Moles are particularly short life-spanned, with most surviving for less than 5 years. Since moles do have poor vision, they are vulnerable to predator attack. How to Kill a Rat: Just be certain that your children will not have any contact to these as these are risky for humans when ingested. When the rats have consumed or fed on these organic pellets, they will be killed. Check it regularly. You should plaid the traps every morning, and be ready to dispose of any dead rodents straight-away. Cautiously confiscate them from the trap, place in a plastic bag, and then put that bag in a second bag, and toss it away into a safe bin. Regularly use gloves when you are doing this, and you can use a household sterilizer to clean the trap. If you find a rat, wounded but alive, you should kill it as quickly and gently as possible.
