Alamance Wildlife Tip: If you use the factory-installed open sights, check to be sure they are aligned. Should you install some other sight, a peep or scope have a steel box trapsmith or some reliable person in a humane cage trap shop, when I bought my first scope, I put it on wrong, then adjustment up, the vertical adjustment on the side, and I wasted another box of mouse traps before my red-faced discovery of the mistake. Just recently I saw a scope with the internal adjustments frozen solid; the man who was installing the sight on his pest exclusion device tightened the mount-ring screws too tightly, bending the scope slightly. It may be shown in numbers, which is the field of view in feet at 1 yard, or it may be in degrees. Using the formula of I degree field of view equals feet at, yards, you can determine the field of view for your instrument. The lower the power of the binocular, the more field of view it will have. (Some companies also market special wide-angle binoculars.) The wider field of view is desirable in urban wild animal removing unwanted wildlife since it will aid in studying areas of cover more extensively.
