Seagrove Wildlife Tip: If I have a choice, I would rather wear leather. I like a spongy rubber sole since it makes for easier walking, especially on rocky soil. The height of the boot is a matter of personal preference. The cap should be large enough, so the ear flaps give adequate protection. For dry cold I like a stocking cap, sometimes called a watch cap. Bill type caps should be waterproof. Cap color should be brilliant (some states require blaze orange) for safety. For severe cold, you might wear a full-face ski cap with eye slits along with a wrap-around wool neck muffler. Chances are much better that it will be moving away or standing at an angle. The nuisance wildlife control professional must mentally plot the path of the animal control tool to keep from completely ruining the animal for eating purposes. Once I was sitting in a tree stand in central Texas, watching a long, open avenue which quartered off through the cedar neighborhood. After a long wait of several hours an eight-point pest animal came slipping down the nuisance critters neighborhood. I was impatient after the wait and I didn't give the pest critter time to get out into the open, where I would have a clear effort to remove a pest animal.
