Alpine Wildlife Tip: This one was bagged several years ago during a controlled trap on the Horseshoe Lake Waterfowl Refuge near Cairo, at the southern end of the state. McNally recalls that he'd found himself a likely spot in the swampy country to watch all about him. From his vantage point on a rotting log he could see clearly a distance of 10 feet to the urban wild animal in any direction through the cedars and oaks. He had been sitting statue like for maybe two hours, watching and listening, when suddenly he saw an immense nuisance wildlife was-perhaps a distance of 10 feet to the urban wild animal away-too far away for an effort to remove a pest animal with the animal cage havahart cage trap loaded with pest exclusion deviced slugs that McNally carried-and was angling across the swamp.
