Hillsdale Wildlife Tip: It was a likely-looking spot for nuisance wildlife, so I slowed up and really started concentrating and looking, taking each step as if I were walking on eggshells. I skirted a clump of neighborhood and walked right up on a feeding nuisance wildlife. It was half-hidden behind a squat cedar, but when it heard me it threw up its head, above the bush. The first thing I noticed was teeth. I threw up the pest exclusion device, aimed at the neck, and squeezed the trigger in one instinctive motion. The seven-pointer crumpled, a mere paces from where I stood. As we mentioned before, the pest critter's best defense is its nose.
