East Vincent Wildlife Tip: Fried critter fur liaer: Slice in thin steaks, roll in cornmeal, salt, and pepper, and fry in hot grease. Smothered Critter fur Liaer: Slice in thin steaks, roll in flour, salt, and pepper, and brown in 1 tablespoon of shortening. Add enough water to cover meat along with two sliced medium onions. Simmer until tender, or about one hour. Critter fur jerky: Use a flank cut or any cut of critter fur which has long grains of muscle. Remove all fat and gristle, which would turn rancid. Be sure to cut meat with the grain. Critter fur should be cut in strips about inches long and 1 inch thick - even thinner if you can slice it.
