Rensselaer County Wildlife Tip: Later we made a drive along the river. Winston and Murry got ahead of us, one on either side of the calamus, up on the banks where they could look down into the neighborhood tangles where Gene, Bob, and I were walking, trying to rouse any hiding nuisance wildlife into the open. on this drive a seven-point pest animal came crashing from the riverbed and hit the open country under full throttle. one slug from Winston's. sent him cartwheeling. Murry got his nuisance wildlife the next day while driving another stretch of the river. This was a wily, heavy-toothed ten-pointer that was wise to the facts of survival.
