Richmond Wildlife Tip: How to get bats out of a log cabin
Bats are only mammals which can fly. They like live in tropical or warm places high above the ground. Mostly we can find them easily in old trees, parks or even in the attic of your house. And if you live in a log cabin then certainly you are more prone to Richmond bats. Because bats hide themselves in the eaves of log cabins and get enter in the cabin through vents.
Precaution:
If you have any plan to take any action first thing to do is to cover yourself properly with gloves, goggles, surgical mask and hat. Or you might catch any parasite from bats through air or nesting material of Richmond bats.Exclusion of bats should not done in breeding season extend from month of May to July to avoid killing of young bats.
1. Having bats around you can be very scary as well as risky from health point of view. Best way to get rid of bats from log cabin is by using light. Bats are nocturnal animals and have adapted to see clear in dark. When it became dark outside let the doors open and switch on as much lights as you can to illuminate the cabin. To avoid light bats will move out in search of darkness.
2. If you get a bat accidently in your log cabin try to lead the Richmond bat to the corner of room close to wall. Then knock it down with broom or mop. Throw a large cover like blanket over it and throw it somewhere outside.
3. By using Lovatic ultrasonic pet repellent indoor plug device to keep the bats away from log cabin.
Be cautious by not to hurt bats physically or they will bite you which may leads to serious injuries or can cause rabies disease. There are few steps to keep the bats away from log cabins:
• Using moth ball or naphthalene balls.
