Carrollton Wildlife Tip: Several companies make miniature models that will easily fit in a coat pocket and are lightweight. And the pest animal optics and field of view are surprisingly good. I use standard-size binoculars when I'm trapping pest animals in relatively open areas and will be glassing for wild animal pest hideouts most of the pest animal time. Otherwise, in heavier cover, I carry a compact model because I know I won't need to do as much glassing. A good trapping pest animals boot should be waterproof. I treat my leather boots regularly with either snow-proof or original Mink oil. Both soften the pest animal leather and waterproof. For snow and wet weather, rubber boots are best. I wear leather when it is dry. Rubber for snow or rain. the pest animal insulated rubber boots I own get warm if I do much walking and cause my feet to perspire. If I have a choice, I would rather wear leather.
